This study attempted to verify the dual mediating effect of emotional intelligence and social technology in the relationship between the self-awareness of construction workers and accident prevention behavior.The purpose of this study is to provide basic data to increase accident prevention awareness by conducting a survey of 326 construction workers in the metropolitan area and analyzing self-awareness, emotional intelligence, social technology, and accident prevention behavior.As a result of the study, it was found that there was a significant positive correlation between selfawareness, emotional intelligence, social technology, and accident prevention behavior.In addition, it was confirmed that emotional intelligence and social technology have a double mediating effect in the relationship between self-awareness and accident prevention behavior.In other words, it was found that self-awareness improves social skills through emotional intelligence and ultimately promotes accident-prevention behavior.This study suggests that in order to secure the safety of workers at the construction site, it is important not only to simply prepare physical safety devices or institutional management measures but also to strengthen the psychological and emotional capabilities of individual workers.Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop education and training programs that strengthen workers' self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and social skills to increase the safety of construction sites.In addition, field leaders should raise workers' safety awareness and lead safety behaviors, and support systems such as stress management and mental health counseling for workers' psychological stability should be prepared.
