DNApatite: An Elastic Ceramic In article number 2406179, Jun Hyuk Heo, Jung Heon Lee, and co-workers present the first elastic ceramic, ‘deoxyribonucleic apatite (DNApatite)’, synthesized with Ca2+ and ssDNA without phosphate ions. DNApatite contains ceramic (hydroxyapatite) and polymeric (DNA) elements at a sub-nanometer scale, enhancing toughness and elasticity.
