Few studies have examined how Artificial Intelligence-based computer-aided diagnosis (AI-CAD) may miss breast cancers on mammograms. Our goal was to investigate the false-negative results of AI-CAD in women newly diagnosed with breast cancer and to evaluate the standalone diagnostic value of diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) in detecting breast cancers missed by AI-CAD.
