Highly Sensitive Liquid Biopsies for Cancer Diagnosis MUTE-seq is an innovative technique that employs an advanced-fidelity CRISPR-based system to enable highly sensitive liquid biopsies for cancer diagnosis. The image illustrates how MUTE-seq solves the classic “needle in a haystack” problem. A dense cylindrical haystack of wild-type cfDNA that conceals a single mutant ctDNA—the “needle”—precisely illuminated by a CRISPR-guided light beam.
