이영훈 연구실은 예방의학과 역학을 기반으로 뇌졸중·동맥류성 지주막하출혈 환자의 장기 기능 예후, 혈관성 인지장애의 발생 요인, 고혈압 등 만성질환의 건강위험요인과 지역사회 건강지표를 분석하며, 임상 자료와 코호트 연구를 통해 장기 재활, 질병 예방, 공중보건 정책 수립에 기여하는 보건의료 연구를 수행하고 있다.

In this cohort study, the functional outcomes in patients with aSAH continued to improve up to 4 years after onset, with the majority of participants showing favorable outcomes without significant disability, suggesting that proper long-term assessment is needed and appropriate management should be emphasized to maximize potential outcomes of patients with aSAH.

The majority of patients reporting mild-to-moderate disability at 7 days exhibited good functional outcome, and even among those with severe disability, there was a favorable outcome with continuous improvement in their functional levels. Therefore, proper assessments and effective management should be employed to achieve favorable functional outcomes among aSAH survivors.
